Rent the Wornall Grounds

The historic grounds of the John Wornall House are perfect for your outdoor event. Our grounds are within walking distance of downtown Brookside. They are beautiful any time of year, featuring outdoor seating, native plants, and historic signage. The Greek revival architecture of the Wornall House (built in 1858) provides a stunning background.

Pricing

Standard Rates
$100/hour rental rate (for members)- minimum of two consecutive hours
All renters must be members of the Wornall/Majors House Museums. Not a member? Not a problem! Just add on a $35 membership fee. In addition to renting the grounds, your membership also comes with great museum benefits!

Optional Add-on Fees
Security fee (required if alcohol is served)*: $130.00
Wornall House portrait session: $100.00/hour – for groups of ten or fewer

*We will provide the security officer, who will be present for the last three hours of your event if alcohol is served. In addition, all alcohol must be served by a bartender licensed in the State of Missouri.

Please note the Wornall grounds are not available for rentals on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.

About the Space

The Grounds

Renters have full use of the outdoor property, including the garden, fire pit, picnic area, and lawns. Trash operates on a carry-in/carry-out policy.

Seating

Seating includes picnic bench seating, rock wall seating, and log firepit seating. We have four large picnic tables that can seat 16-24. Renters are welcome to bring additional folding chairs, tables, or lawn chairs.

Reserving Your Date

In order to reserve a date, contact rentals@wornallmajors.org. You are welcome to visit the Wornall House grounds at your leisure to tour the space.
