With your help, we bring history to life through innovative, hands-on programs and experiences.
The John Wornall House and the Alexander Majors House are two of Kansas City’s most important historic landmarks, and we strive to preserve and protect them while bringing history alive in a way that is relevant and fresh to modern audiences.
- Teachers come to us when they need flexible field trips that integrate seamlessly into their lesson plans.
- Visitors from the Kansas City area, as well as across the country and the world, take tours of the Houses to gain a greater appreciation of Missouri/Kansas history.
- We partner with organizations like KCPT and the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival to reach new audiences and share our story.
- Community members gather at our lectures, dinners, and cocktail parties to network and learn with others that share their love of Kansas City and its diverse history.
Your support makes it possible! Monthly gift are especially valued, as they allow us to know how much donation revenue we can count on, when we can count on it. This allows us to spend more time focusing on providing free and low cost programs for youth and adults. And you can spread out your charitable donations in small, easy-to-give amounts!
