Drink Your History: Gin and Tonics

June 30, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Alcohol and human history have long been entwined. Join us for a four-part series where we explore the American history of spirits, while also teaching you how to discern differences and taste some of America (and the world’s) most historic beverages. Tickets include a brief presentation, plus 3-4 tasting cups or mixed drinks of the featured liquor. Tickets are $30/event, or $100 for the entire series. Continue below to read about each date and theme.

Originated as a medicinal liquor, gin has a long and storied history. It is particularly prominent in American history during Prohibition, with the age of bathtub gin and speakeasies. We’ll sample several gins while exploring this fascinating history.
