Ghost Tours (all ages) – OCTOBER 22
From a restless blacksmith to a caretaker who has truly made the home her permanent residence, many ghost stories swirl around the historic Alexander Majors House. The night will include a special performance from the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s Team Shakespeare, spooky ghost stories, and information about paranormal investigations at the Majors House.
Ghost Tours are 1-hour tours of the Alexander Majors House. This is a history tour, not a “haunted house”, and there will not be jump scares. Tours will cover some of the history of the house, ghost legends of the nineteenth century, and stories of spirits supposed to roam the Majors House today. Participants must be able to stand, walk, and ascend and descend stairs during the tour. Some accommodations may be made with advance notice.
This is considered an “all-ages” tour, but parental discretion is advised. Some themes may be scary for young children and may include death, dying, ghosts, and bodily injury.

Paranormal Investigations – NIGHT OF OCTOBER 22, 29, 30, 31
Paranormal investigators agree that the Alexander Majors House is a paranormal hotspot. Nationally recognized as a haunted location, the Majors House’s paranormal activity has been featured in the Los Angeles Times and Haunted Places: The National Directory.
Join professional investigators for a two-hour, small group investigation of the Majors House, where you will learn about how these investigators use technology as well as their intuition to potentially contact spirits.
Groups are limited to no more than 10 individuals.
Friday investigations will be led by Haunted Howards and Saturday/Sunday investigations by Raven Haunts Paranormal.
