Majors House Ghost Tours (All Ages)

From a restless blacksmith to a caretaker who has truly made the home her permanent residence, many ghost stories swirl around the historic Alexander Majors House. The night will include a special performance from the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival’s Team Shakespeare, spooky ghost stories, and information about paranormal investigations at the Majors House.

Ghost Tours are 1-hour tours of the Alexander Majors House. This is a history tour, not a “haunted house”, and there will not be jump scares. Tours will cover some of the history of the house, ghost legends of the nineteenth century, and stories of spirits supposed to roam the Majors House today.

Participants must be able to stand, walk, and ascend and descend stairs during the tour. Some accommodations may be made with advance notice.

This is considered an “all-ages” tour, but parental discretion is advised. Some themes may be scary for young children and may include death, dying, ghosts, and bodily injury.
