Event three in our three part educational happy hour series featuring the surprising lives of Victorians and little-known secrets of Victorian society.

Two elite groups emerged in early Kansas City society – the French Creole and Southerners who settled Westport. Food tells us about the attitudes and values of both groups – and which one ultimately predominated.

With Dr. Andrea Broomfield, professor of English at Johnson County Community College and author of “Food and Cooking in Victorian England: A History” and “Kansas City: A Food Biography.”

$15 per event or $40 for all three events. (Wornall/Majors member price $10)
Ticket includes lecture, two drink tickets, and light snacks.
